Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient cloud-based applications. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in guiding the development of our products while working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to align technology with business goals.

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based applications using AWS, Docker, and microservices
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand application goals and features, translating business needs into high-level software
  • Create logical REST APIs as the sole interface to manage the microservice
  • Identifies the appropriate technology stack to support a microservice domain including the choice of SQL vs No-SQL persistence
  • Design and implement through Liquidbase efficient relational database schemas for microservice data
  • Implement front-end interfaces using ReactJS, ensuring high performance and reliable user experience.
  • Write reusable, unit-testable, and efficient code in NodeJS, Python, and
  • Lead integration processes using Bitbucket Pipelines and ensure continuous delivery and deployment through DevOps
  • Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team, particularly in pair-programming, code reviews, unit testing, and creating
  • Operate effectively within a Scrum team, participating actively in all agile ceremonies and continuous improvement
  • Uphold and advocate for principles of domain-driven design, information hiding, high cohesion, and low coupling in microservices
  • Collaborate across scrum teams and regions to identify dependencies and promote proper microservice interactions consistent with a high cohesion, low coupling

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in cloud engineering with a strong background in AWS, Docker and
  • Expertise in NodeJS, Python, and front-end development with
  • Proven experience with SQL, Redis, and configuration management tools such as
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Bitbucket
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing microservices with a solid understanding of domain-driven design, cohesion, and
  • Strong unit testing skills and familiarity with testing
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented
