Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The position is to support a market leading Core Banking Platform at one of our portfolio companies headquartered in France. As an IT QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS-based core banking platform, catering to the Banking and Fintech domain. Your responsibilities will encompass the manual testing, along with close collaboration with Product Owners and development teams to create and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. If you have a passion for financial technology, exposure to banking domain, and have prior experience working as a QA Engineer, we encourage you to apply.

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with Product Owners to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans that cover functional and non-functional aspects of the Core Banking Platform.
  • Test Scenario and Test Case Creation: Work closely with Product Owners and Development teams to identify and create test scenarios and test cases that reflect real-world usage scenarios and customer requirements.
  • Manual Testing: Execute manual testing procedures to ensure that our core banking platform operates seamlessly, identifying, and documenting defects and deviations from expected behaviour.
  • API Testing: Utilize API testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI, and Swagger to conduct thorough API testing, including endpoint validation and data consistency.
  • Test Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports with clear documentation of test results, defect tracking, and testing progress. Ensure that test outcomes are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
  • Domain Knowledge: Develop an understanding of Banking and Fintech industry standards and practices to better align testing activities with the Core Banking Platform’s core offerings.
  • Technical Proficiency: While not requiring extensive coding experience, having a fundamental grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts will facilitate effective communication and collaboration with development teams. Familiarity with back-end technologies like PHP, .NET, Node.js, and Express.js is an added advantage.
  • Scrum Framework: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
